Who is the target audience?
18-30 year olds who live in the lower end of city conditions.
What is the name of your magazine? Why? Connotations?
Dinge-Grime or squalor; dinginess.
Grimester-
Filth-A dirty or corrupt condition; foulness.
Drab- Faded and dull in appearance.
Squalor-A filthy and wretched condition or quality.
Shabby-Showing signs of wear and tear; threadbare or worn-out
Cloak and Dagger- Marked by melodramatic intrigue and often by espionage
Hole and corner- Being in a secret place; conducted secretly.
Shows the more "underground" side of restaurants and bars in the city.
Think I'm going with shabby.
What will your masthead look like? Do you have any ideas for fonts?
Bold. Grungy. Dark/Bright colors... Contrast
What images will be on the cover and why?
Images of the city or subways or underground types of restaurants/bars/music and events etc. I want to do a magazine about inner cities and do more of the filth of cities rather than to glorify them. Show dive bars, less popular restaurants that are sort of hole in the walls that locals love.
What will be your sell lines to entice your target audience?
"Not too Shabby..."
"cloak-and-dagger activities "
"hole-and-corner intrigue"
